Egg-citing Easter fun for Slough’s foster carers and children

Egg-citing Easter fun for Slough’s foster carers and children

Laughter, creativity, and plenty of chocolate filled the air at Observatory House, Slough, as Foster with Slough hosted an Easter egg hunt for Slough’s foster carers and children.

The event, held at Observatory House, brought families together for a day of egg-citing fun, friendly competition, and, of course, delicious treats!

The morning kicked off with Easter bonnet making, where children and their carers let their creativity shine by crafting colourful bonnets decorated with pompoms, tissue paper, and more. The fun continued with a lively carers vs. children quiz, testing their Easter knowledge in a battle of wits.

This was followed by a basket-making activity, where children assembled and decorated Easter baskets, which were later filled with mini eggs.

Laughter echoed through the room as everyone hopped into action for the bunny relay and the classic egg & spoon race, bringing out a competitive spirit.

The highlight of the day was the eagerly awaited Easter egg hunt, where children and carers worked together to crack clues and discover hidden chocolate treasures. Those who weren’t on the hunt got creative with biscuit decorating and colouring, ensuring that everyone had something fun to enjoy.

The day wrapped up with a well-earned lunch, where participants had the chance to relax, chat, and reflect on the fun-filled activities.

Foster with Slough is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences and events like this highlight the joy and connection that fostering brings, especially to Slough’s fostering family.

A huge thank you to all the carers, children, and organisers who made this event such a success – and to the Easter Bunny for the generous chocolate supply!
