DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce our upcoming Summer Conference for foster carers on 12th July. \n\n\n\nTrauma & Therapeutic CareCaring for and supporting children on their healing journey requires compassion\, skill and patience. Our conference will provide valuable insights into the impact of trauma on children and how therapeutic caring in a nurturing environment can help them to overcome adverse life experiences and set the foundations for a future with positive outcomes. \n\n\n\nWe’re excited to welcome Laura Taylor\, a social worker with over 20 years’ experience of working in local authorities. Laura is a Therapeutic Parenting Coach and has extensive knowledge in supporting children affected by trauma. She will share scenarios and strategies\, facilitate group work and workshops to promote learning\, reflection and discussion.

DESCRIPTION:Have you been thinking about fostering or would you generally like to learn more about it? \n\n\n\nWhy not join us in our upcoming information session? Our information sessions are free of charge. \n\n\n\nAt Slough Children First\, we have some fantastic foster carers and are always welcoming more! \n\n\n\nOur policy is to try to place children locally\, before considering families further afield\, so that they maintain links that are important to them.
